		Minto Whillans Minto was the sixth child and fourth daughter of James Whillans and Jean Riddel. Minto is an unusual name for a girl. As the Whillans "Clan" were known to have lived about the Parish of Minto situated between Hawick and Jedburg, Scotland for a period of time it is assumed her naming was this place name association. Then another story comes from Annette Clark a direct descendant of Minto Trotter.
